re4Him (pronounced "reform") - "restoring hope to dream again..."
Acts 1:7:8 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
re4Him Mission Statement: To reach out with the love of Jesus to the broken and hurting in every walk of life. Wherever hope has been lost, re4Him seeks to help people become renewed, restored, refocused, and to find new purpose and hope in life. To bring healing to the whole person - spirit, soul, and body through the power of the gospel - through experiential understanding of who they are in Christ and His life-changing love. We are missionaries... called to the hurting and the brokenhearted. Called to reach out with the heart of the Father, locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, in creative ways - to restore hope to the hopeless, wherever He may send us...
John 5:1-15 (man at the pool of Bethesda) - you are not too old, you are not too broken and you are not invisible… an encounter with Jesus changes everything!
Why re4Him?
The 4 “re’s” - RE•newed, RE•stored, RE•focused and RE•purposed - through the love and power of Jesus we can be RE•formed, made new!
RENEW: to make like new: restore to freshness, vigor, or perfection, to make new spiritually: regenerate
RESTORE: give back, return, to put or bring back into existence or use, to bring back to or put back into a
former or original state
REFOCUS: to focus again, to change the emphasis or direction of <had refocused his life>
REPURPOSE: to give a new purpose or use to
REFORM: to put or change into an improved form or condition, to amend or improve by change of form or removal of faults or abuses, to put an end to (an evil) by enforcing or introducing a better method or course of action
We believe that one of the saddest things in a human heart is the loss of hope. When a heart is wounded to the point of no longer being able to dream. One of the greatest things we have witnessed is the Lord returning hope - when a person begins to see themselves as loved by Him, begins to recognize their worth, and feels worthy of dreaming again. The name “re4HIM” is God changing a heart that had grown cold and wounded from the hardships of this world, into a heart on fire. A heart renewed, restored, refocused, and repurposed. A heart that can not only dream again but grow in the love and hope of God and pursue and achieve those dreams. There is truly nothing better than the privilege of seeing miracles of His love.
Why no pictures? We have been told by many of the friends that we serve that it is a very intrusive feeling for them to have photographers at our meals. We occasionally post pictures of events on our Facebook page, (with full consent from those pictured) but our policy is that we do not allow photographers as we are there to love, pray and serve people, not to make them feel exploited in any way.
